About synchronizing your website with your web folder

The picture shows the Synchronize Window that you can evoke via the Synchronize Web Site command from the Transfer menu of Web Site Maestro.

Under the Sync tab in Preferences of Web Site Maestro you find the synchronization options, for example to skip certain files and/or folders, or skip files whose name starts or ends with a certain string.

All synchronize actions will be displayed in a Sync Log on the Main Window. After the program has finished collecting remote information to determine files' modification date and time, you can watch the Log being populated with all Create Folder, Upload File, Delete File or Delete Folder actions. In the event that a certain action would fail, this is also indicated.

It is recommended to perform a test run first. During this test procedure, the Sync Log will display what actions would have taken place. If you don't see any unexpected actions, you can safely perform a live synchronization.
